Betina is a small tourist village on the island of Murter, about 30 kilometers (15 miles) from the city of Sibenik. Inhabitants are mostly engaged in fishing and agriculture, and nowadays also tourism. Betina is also famous for it\'s old shipyards, where traditional wooden ships are constructed. There are grocery stores, restaurants, market, post office and tourist office in the center of Betina. Tourist agencies organize trips to National Parks Krka and Kornati which are situated near Murter. The island of Murter enables pleasant vacation in peace and quiet, and enjoyment in pure sea water and healthy food. There are also many possibilities for recreation (tennis courts, basketball courts, diving, bicycling, etc).
