SALEM – Angels for Animals is preparing for its annual 2021 Antiques, Collectibles and Holiday Sale. Items are being collected until December 2, noon to 6 pm. For larger items, contact Diane at 330-502-5352. Early risers can shop on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a $ 5 donation. The sale continues on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All donations and buyers can find the annual sale in Andrews Hall, located at Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road.

The successful fundraising efforts were made possible by volunteers like Susie Cope. For nearly 20 years, Cope has spent countless hours collecting, pricing and organizing the items donated for this annual sale. She also has a great team who all come together to participate: Denise Miller, Mickey Cope, Lynn Hoffman and Kathleen Holden along with many other volunteers who join the effort. All of these people are working very hard to make this sale a success.

This year’s sale already contains some unique items that are sure to be hard to find, including a collectible Barbie Wonder Woman still in the box, a 1966 Snoopy lidded peanut dish, a Howdy Doody cookie jar, a jar of antique apothecary, doll-sized chest of drawers, and Jim Shore Heartwood Creek Garden Angel with cats – solar powered. There’s also a beautiful vintage Ethan Allen drop-leaf desk and plenty of Christmas and holiday items.
