Castle Hill Inn offering a variety of festive experiences this holiday season

This winter, the Castle Hill Inn in Newport invites guests to get into the holiday spirit with a host of events and celebrations beginning the weekend after Thanksgiving and continuing through New Years Day.

The halls of the Castle Hill Inn mansion will be adorned with festive decor, the wood-burning fireplaces will roar and the inn will be filled with merriment throughout the month of December.

“Christmas at Castle Hill Inn is always a special occasion, and we’re thrilled to help spread the holiday cheer throughout Newport with the launch of our first-ever pop-up tree and wreath sale the weekend after Thanksgiving, benefiting our friends at the James L. Maher Center,” said Brian Young, General Manager of Castle Hill Inn. “We also look forward to bringing our popular s’mores offering back to the inn patio, as well than our traditional holiday meals for Christmas and New Years.”

Temporary sale of trees and wreaths to benefit the James L. Maher Center

In the spirit of the season, Castle Hill Inn will shine with compassion and holiday cheer the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Castle Hill Inn will be hosting a pop-up tree and wreath sale to benefit the James L. Maher Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 27 and Sunday, November 28. The public is invited to enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies. , holiday tunes and other festive touches while selecting the perfect greenery in one of Newport’s most iconic settings. Wreaths, garlands and balsam fir trees — including tabletop and tall trees — will be available for purchase.

All proceeds from the sale of the tree and wreath will benefit the James L. Maher Center, which serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on Aquidneck Island and the East Bay communities of Rhode Island since 1953. The Maher Center has offered a range of programs – including creative, recreational and social programs, volunteer and employment opportunities, supportive residential options and accessible on-demand transportation services – with the aim of helping people imagine and organize fulfilling lives that reflect their unique interests, affinities and talents.

Maher Center and are proud to work with this incredible organization,” continued Brian Young. “We invite the community of Newport to purchase their Christmas trees and wreaths with us this year and enjoy the festive atmosphere of Castle Hill Inn while supporting such a great cause.”

S’more Holiday Cheer at Castle Hill Inn

Back by popular demand, Castle Hill Inn stirs up some Christmas cheer on December weekends with fire pits and s’mores on the inn patio! Guests will stay warm and cozy by a wood-burning fireplace while enjoying stunning views of the Newport Pell Bridge and Narragansett Bay beyond. This experience includes all the ingredients for the traditional s’mores, complimentary hot chocolate or cider, and three cozy fleece blankets to take home. Hot chocolate and cider “spikes” are also available for those looking for a little extra heat.

The cost to reserve a fire pit is $200 and each reservation can serve up to six people. All reservations must be made online and will be available one week in advance. Reservations will be offered at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on December 9-12, December 16-19 and December 26-30.

Enjoy a festive Christmas or Christmas Eve meal in the Castle Hill Dining Room

Christmas at Castle Hill Inn is always a joyous occasion, and this year is no different! The inn invites guests and locals alike to enjoy the traditional three-course dining room menu with some favorite holiday twists throughout. The mansion will be adorned with festive decor and Christmas cheer, and guests can relax by the inn’s wood-burning fireplaces and enjoy live music.

The three-course menu, priced at $98 per person, features holiday classics such as Roasted Chestnut Soup and Crusted Christmas Goose, as well as Baked Stuffed Lobster, Blackbird Farmhouse Ham Glazed at maple, grilled beef tenderloin and more. Seats will be available between 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Day. Reservations for non-hotel guests can be made from November 26 for Christmas Eve and November 27 for Christmas Day, and can be made by email.

Celebrate the New Year with Castle Hill Inn

Celebrate the New Year at the Castle Hill Inn! The Castle Hill Dining Room offers a delicious four-course New Year’s Eve menu by Chef Louis Rossi, with family-style appetizers to share, followed by three delicious courses. Enjoy live music as you dine, and finish with a complimentary champagne toast and head to 22 in style! The four-course menu costs $165 per person, and reservations for the general public can be made by email and phone starting Dec. 3.rd (hotel guests can book in advance).

Guests and locals alike can also celebrate the start of the New Year at Castle Hill Inn with the inn’s classic New Year’s Day Brunch. Served from 10:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the first day of the year, Castle Hill will be serving an a la carte menu and of course plenty of Bloody Marys and mimosas!
