Holiday Inn Express Chester upgrade with new bar and lounge

The Holiday Inn Express Chester Racecourse said guests will get an “upgrade to their stay” after an impressive refurbishment.

The hotel has undergone a £200,000 refurbishment of the bar and lounges, giving guests a new modern breakfast room, fully refurbished bar and seating, outdoor seating area with planters, drink pods in the evening and a new air conditioning and heating system.

This follows a record summer for the hotel which saw 99.75% occupancy rates due to increased ‘staycations’. The upgrades will hopefully continue this trend, with quality food and drink that will rival those in downtown bars and restaurants.

Improvements to the bar and lounges

Lucy Edwards, its chief executive, said: “After the disappointment of having to close early last year due to the pandemic, we were delighted to see a record summer.

“We are delighted with the refurbishment and believe it is a valuable investment that will enhance the hotel offering in the vacation market.

“I would like to thank all of our guests for their continued support as well as the hotel team for their hard work. We look forward to 2022 which should be another fantastic year.”
