New properties in growing markets allowing Holiday Inn Express to reach 3,000 open locations:
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Doral – Miami (WE): A brand new, fresh and contemporary hotel with spaces that allow guests to be productive, to connect with friends, family and colleagues. Near Doral Busy shopping areas including Miami International Mall, Dolphin Mall, and CityPlace Doral, guests have a variety of entertainment options such as dining, comedy, bowling, movies, nightlife, and upscale shopping.
Holiday Inn Express is expanding across the United States and since 2019, the hotel has opened 11 new hotels in Florida alone. The brand has experienced 5% growth in openings in the Americas region since 2019.
EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST, ASIA AND AFRICA (EMEAA):
- Holiday Inn Express Düsseldorf – Hauptbahnhof (Germany): The largest Holiday Inn Express in Europe, this property is located near the central railway line of the city and charming Old City. Showcasing the contemporary next-generation Holiday Inn Express designs, the new opening offers inviting guest rooms and a pillow menu to ensure a good night’s rest.
Germany is one of the brand’s leading markets in Europe, with 44 hotels and 11 of these hotels added to the German market since 2019. The number of Holiday Inn Express hotels in the European market has increased by more than 10% since 2019.
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Queenstown (New Zealand): This is the first opening of the brand in New Zealand, making its country debut in the summer of 2020. Located near popular ski destinations, this property has an elegant alpine vibe and features an outdoor lounge and fireplace.
Across the EMEAA region, Holiday Inn Express has partnered with owners to build hotels that deliver cohesive experiences for IHG Rewards members with localized design elements that capture the vibe of each city.
