Holiday Inn Express portfolio exceeds 3,000 properties: Business Traveler USA

IHG Hotels and Resorts announced that its Holiday Inn Express brand has surpassed the 3000 open property mark worldwide and now offers more than 300,000 rooms in 2,100 cities.

The mid-range brand was launched in 1990 by then-owner Bass, and its current list of nearly 650 properties in development represents almost a third of the entire IHG pipeline worldwide.

Recent additions include the brand’s largest property in Europe, the 455-room Holiday Inn Express Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof.

To celebrate, IHG is donating 300,000 IHG ​​Rewards points to the winning social video on the topic “Why You Love Holiday Inn Express”. Ten other submissions will each receive 3000 points. Only residents of the United States are eligible and videos must be submitted in December.
