Santa Claus returns to delight kids of all ages at Macy’s (NYSE: M) this holiday season. Since 1861, generations of children have enjoyed the magic of a visit with the only Santa Claus at Macy’s. This cherished holiday tradition will be back in person this year at Macy’s Santaland ® in select stores by prior reservation. To bring the wonders of the season closer to kids around the world, Macy’s Santaland® at Home, a digital experience will also be available this year with an all-new virtual adventure via macys.com/Santaland.

Macy’s Santaland – Chicago, New York and San Francisco

An Enchanted World featuring Santa’s Village and Workshop, Macy’s Santaland, will open for in-store tours at Macy’s on State Street in Chicago on Saturday, November 6, and Macy’s Herald Square in New York City and Union Square in San Francisco on Friday, November 26. To provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, Winter Wonderland tours will be available by prior reservation only. To book a special tour with Santa Claus, customers should visit macys.com/Santaland. Reservations will open five days prior to the desired visit date to allow the widest possible access for guests wishing to attend in person. Each day, reservations will open at 5:30 a.m. local time and show the reservation slots open for five days later (for example, reservations for December 16 will open on December 11 at 5:30 a.m. local time).

Protecting the health of guests, Santa Claus and his elves is Macy’s top priority and as such the tours will be contactless and take place from a socially distant experience as the kids share their wishlists. card with merry man in red. Additionally, Macy’s Santaland will follow all city and state health and safety guidelines in place at each location for indoor masking and social distancing. Macy’s Santaland will close on Friday, December 24.

Live virtual! Macy’s Santaland at home

A whole new, immersive digital experience awaits children around the world when they virtually visit Santa’s Workshop via Macy’s Santaland at Home. Available at macys.com/Santaland, an interactive digital journey awaits as the Elves of Santaland lead the way through Santa’s Village and Workshop, stopping to see sights and play interactive games. At the end of the experience, children will meet Santa Claus through an interactive video where they can share their holiday wishlist followed by the creation of a special Santa Claus selfie. At the end of the experience, families will be able to upload their commemorative photo. Free for all, Macy’s Santaland at Home will be available from Friday November 26 to Friday December 24. To access the site, a supervising adult must create an account, provide the appropriate permissions to activate the program, including approving material access for interactive elements and selecting their preferred Santa Claus experience.

Macy’s Vacation Windows

As the first department store to feature Christmas window displays, the iconic Macy’s Holiday Windows will once again captivate and entertain. Since 1874, Macy’s has created a destination in its storefronts, bringing the spirit of the season to life in a lively way. In November, at select stores across the country, Macy’s will be offering a Journey of Discovery and Triumph as a very special reindeer flies away to help Santa bring joy to millions of children, it was all returned possible when she finally believed.

Big Macy’s Tree, Christmas Light Show & Dickensian Village

The vacation wouldn’t be complete without Macy’s Big Enchanting Tree. These incredible trees will delight onlookers with a dazzling display of Christmas light and joy. Presented in different ways, the tall trees can be enjoyed at Macy’s on State Street in Chicago (inside the famous Walnut Room), Macy’s Lenox Square in Atlanta, Macy’s Downtown Boston, and Macy’s Union Square in San Francisco.

At Macy’s Center City in Philadelphia, the iconic Dickens Village and the Christmas Light Show return. Macy’s Dickens Village will introduce guests to a selection of lively exhibits telling the story of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Starting Monday, November 22, customers must reserve their seats in advance by visiting macys.com/Santaland. Macy’s Dickens Village will run from Friday November 26 to Friday December 31. Customers wishing to see Macy’s spectacular Christmas light show can enjoy the festive light-filled journey through popular Christmas stories, including TheNutcracker and Frosty the snowman supported by the sounds of the famous Wanamaker organ, starting Wednesday, December 1 once a day in the Great Court or enjoy it on demand online at macys.com/Santaland.

Santa’s social calendar

Throughout the month of December, children can chat with Santa Claus live on social networks. Its online social calendar at macys.com/Santaland will detail when its “Cookies & Milk with Santa” live events take place.
