Holiday season

LIGHT UP YOUR HOLIDAY SEASON IN STYLE

The holiday season is all about creating lasting memories while spending time together and soaking up every second of seasonal joy. At CityCenterDC, the first pedestrian development in the heart of the neighborhood, there are a host of sensational events ready to inspire your winter revelry. CityCenterDC’s busy holiday schedule is not to be missed.

THE MAGIC HAPPENS IN DOWNTOWN DC
You thought the best Christmas lights were in the suburbs? Think again: the 75-foot Christmas tree returns to CityCenterDC’s park in all its festive glory. One of the largest in the district, the dazzling tree will be adorned with more than 150,000 glowing lights and 4,500 ornaments. The beloved (and brilliantly lit) 25-foot reindeer, made from 37,000 manzanita branches, also returns to The Plaza at CityCenterDC. We might be a little biased, but we think a stroll among the shops and restaurants is the perfect way to get your fix of twinkling light without any traffic. Another idea: if the usual trips to visit family are not on the program this year, why not plan a holiday stay? Consider a night at the Conrad Hotel, where you can see downtown DC from a new perspective and revel in all the art, food, and culture in your own backyard.

OUTDOOR HOLIDAY DINNER
November 27 – January 3
Al Fresco Holiday Dining at CityCenterDC offers a special dining experience for restaurant patrons for the winter season. Soak in holiday lights while dining alfresco in converted greenhouses filled with evergreens! Participating restaurants, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse and Fig & Olive, will offer this dining option through January 3. Guests can savor the tastes of the season while celebrating the holidays in the district.
To book a dining experience, you can contact the restaurants directly.

MUSIC IN THE SQUARE
December 10-12 and 17-18
Take a vacation break and listen to live music at the Plaza at CityCenter on select weekends in December. Violinists Stephanie Mathias and Christine Kharazian will inspire the Christmas spirit with classic carols and festive favorites.

EXPLORE THE DREAM CLOSET
Just in time for the holidays, the Dream Closet installation returns to CityCenterDC, with artfully designed modern ornaments by SWATCHROOM hanging above Palmer Alley. This sleek, winter wonderland-inspired version is the perfect backdrop for romantic evening walks, selfies with friends, or family photos. The 400 sparkling ornaments were inspired by the silhouette of coat hangers and constructed in a range of sizes, patterns and styles by the DC-based design and manufacturing studio. By elevating retail’s most iconic symbol to a work of art, the installation celebrates both CityCenterDC’s retailers and the exceptional quality of their merchandise.
