Decorate the hallways with indie Switch games
It’s the holidays, which also means it’s time for various digital sales. PlayStation launched its sale yesterday, and the annual Steam Holiday sale is also underway. And now Nintendo has launched the Indie World Holiday to sell, by putting a price on a bunch of solid indies on Switch.
A few are indies from years gone by, like City girls by the river and OlliOlli: change position. And others are ports that have just succeeded this year, such as Slime Rancher: Traceable Edition. But some of the strengths of Nintendo eShop Independent Vacation Selling are the little hidden gems.
Take Cozy grove, for example: a nice breath of fresh air that feels like a pretty relaxing game for the holidays. Or Axiom Verge 2, a sequel quite different from its predecessor, but which still had some cool ideas. TOEM is a black and white isometric photo puzzle game that I’ve had my eye on for a while, and Dodge ball academy is a sports RPG that I never really got through during the summer launch season. Or Desire, a game with an absolutely fascinating mechanic: real patience.
Basically, this seems like a good time to catch up on the games that have flown under the radar this year, and years past as well. More, Without beef is literally only $ 2. I paid more for the coffee. Go buy and play Without beef.
The Complete Line of Nintendo Indie World Holiday Sale:
A few other independent publishers, as well as major publishers, also have eShop sales for the holidays. You can consult the complete list on Nintendo’s landing page here. There are a few too many to list, but I highly recommend browsing the Annapurna and Humble Games sections. Florence is only $ 2. It is obvious.
