The PlayStation Store still has a holiday sale around this time each year. However, this year in 2020, the online store could have the biggest sale ever.
Unfortunately, there seems to be little official news direct from PlayStation Store. The only clue we have is in the ad itself, which reads:
Our epic Holiday Sale is almost here! Enjoy huge savings on essential games and add-ons starting December 22.
PlayStation Holiday Sale: a story of disappointment?
So far, we’ve had little confirmation as to exactly what games will be on sale on PlayStation Store during this year’s sales. The only officially confirmed titles are those above. Grand Theft Auto V, Death stranding, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and FIFA 20 will apparently all benefit from discounts in this sale. However, we don’t know how much of a discount they’ll get, and that’s the main news.
You see, the key words here are “Save up to 90%”. Believe me, as a PlayStation Store discount hunter, this is pretty misleading text. Only a few games will get this glorious 90% discount, and this might not necessarily be the game you wanted. Call of Duty: Modern war, in particular, is known for its stingy “cuts”. Dude, a 10-15% discount on a $ 59.99 game doesn’t reduce the price as much. The $ 60 price tag is particularly hilarious considering the game launched over a year ago. Of course, this pricing is not unique to Modern war. All the others Call of To have to the games are also too expensive.
My point? Hopefully that blessed 90% discount on PlayStation Store. However, don’t rely on your chosen game to make this list.
The PlayStation Store holiday sale begins tomorrow, December 22, 2020. This year’s sale promises to be the biggest yet, though you might not want to hold your breath for that blessed 90% discount on the game of your choice. Additionally, the start of the holiday sale also means the end of the year-end sale that the store is currently holding. If you want to get something back from this sale, you better hurry.
